What to expect at your appointment
- Book online or by phone. Choose a time that suits you. No referral is
- Your consultation. We talk through your symptoms, medical history and what matters most to
- Examination, if needed. This is only done with your consent, and a chaperone is always
- Tests on the day or soon Blood tests, swabs or ultrasound can be arranged quickly where needed.
- A clear You leave knowing what happens next, with a written summary sent to you and, if you wish, your NHS GP.
You are welcome to bring a friend, partner or family member with you.

Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can book directly with us.
Do you offer gynaecology at your Derry/Londonderry clinic?
Gynaecology appointments are currently available at our Coleraine clinic only.
Will I need an internal examination?
Not always. If one would help, we will explain why and only go ahead with your consent. A chaperone is always offered.
Can I come during my period?
Yes, for most consultations. If you are booked for a smear or certain scans, we may suggest a different date.
Will my NHS GP be told?
Only with your permission. Many patients choose to share a summary so their records stay up to date.
What if I need further treatment?
We will explain your options clearly, including private and NHS routes, and arrange onward referral where needed.
