Cellulite treatments At Luxmedics Clinic

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a very common but problematic skin condition that affects many of us. Simply put, cellulite is the collection of fat against the connective tissue beneath your skin. It is commonly found on your abdomen, thighs and buttocks and its appearance is usually in the form of lumpy, dimpled, puckered skin.

How can we AT LuxMedics help you to reduce / eliminate your cellulite?

At LuxMedics, our aim is to help you feel comfortable and confident in your own body and skin. Our team of highly trained professionals will begin your consultation by listening to your concerns and using their expertise, design a personalised plan specifically for your needs.

What do we offer at LuxMedics to help with cellulite reduction?

Cavitation: This highly effective therapy can reduce the appearance of cellulite by targeting and breaking down fat cells beneath the skin, particularly the area associated with cellulite. This specialised treatment uses ultrasound waves to create vibrations that disrupt and shrink fat cells which are subsequently eliminated naturally via the lymphatic system and has been proven to effectively reduce cellulite and adipose fat.

How does cavitation work:

  • Using ultrasound gel on the targeted area, we place the handpiece on the skin (not lifting once in contact) working on one area at a time for 5 minutes (maximum of 8 areas / 40 minutes in one treatment). Once one area is massaged, move on to the next following the same procedure.
  • Minimal / no down time, pain free and non-surgical / non-invasive.
  • Areas treated: stomach / hips / inner thighs / outer thighs.

RadioFrequency (RF): This innovative treatment reduces the appearance of cellulite by penetrating heat into the skin, stimulating collagen production and tightening the skin. This advanced technology combines RF with a laser, suction and massage to target your stubborn areas. RF energy heats the fat cells in the deep and superficial layers to 40 degrees Celsius, causing them to shrink and be eliminated through the lymphatic system. This in turn produces and regenerates new collagen, tightening and firming the skin hence further reduce the appearance of cellulite.

How does RF work:

  • We apply GLYCERINE to the treatment area and place the device over that area.
  • We move the applicator slowly but consistently in flower like motions – the slower the movement the warmer the skin.
  • Temperature is checked every 30 seconds until 40 degrees on the machine is reached. – vacuum is kept at 0 until then. At 40 degrees, continue the treatment on this area for 2 – 4minutes.
  • Once 40 degrees is reached, turn on the vacuum to 10% to aid removal of the melted fat cells / toxins through the lymphatic system.
  • Move on to the next area and repeat above steps.
  • Areas treated: face, body and cellulite.

Shockwave Therapy: This amazing technique is clinically proven to improve and enhance cellulite and fat reduction by delivering acoustic waves (pulses generated using compressed air) into the body using a specialised device by creating vibrations to shrink and permeate fat cells activating the lymphatic system, increasing blood supply to help tighten the skin and strengthen the connective tissues to help reduce cellulite. Shockwave therapy is an excellent addition to RF to achieve maximum results and is one of our most powerful combinations for targeting cellulite.

How does shockwave therapy work:

  • Probes (focused tip to firm skin and generate cell activation at 45 degree angle and a flat probe to enhance lymphatic drainage and circulation) are placed on the skin in sequence.
  • Shockwaves are then delivered in succession (grid – spiral – lymphatic) using a unique setting to target cellulite to the targeted area.

Pressotherapy: Pressotherapy is alternate compression provided to your legs by pneumatic garments (inflatable boots for the legs and sleeves for the arms) to help push fluid from the peripheries (limbs) towards the heart, improving circulation and lymphatic drainage. Recently, pressotherapy has become increasingly popular for treating cellulite

How does Pressotherapy work in cellulite reduction:

As cellulite is formed by means of water retention, pressotherapy can boost circulation and enhance lymphatic drainage resulting in the reduction of cellulite. Although by reducing the amount of fluid our body can accumulate somewhat helps to reduce cellulite, this is not a long-term solution. Therefore, we at LuxMedics can combine this relaxing treatment with the above cellulite-targeted procedures by designing a tailored package specific to your individual needs. Our trained professionals will talk you through every step.
